At the Business School, we don’t just listen to your feedback — it shapes what we do next.
Every time you fill out a survey, drop a comment in a feedback form, or speak up in a meeting, you're helping make our School better for everyone. And thanks to your input last year, we’ve been making real, tangible improvements — from assessments to electives to placements.
Here’s just some of what you said — and what we did in response over the last year:
We need more helpful feedback — and support to use it.
We launched the new Academic Personal Tutoring (APT) framework. Now, you have a named tutor for 1:1 feedback discussions.
We’ve encouraged you to drop into your module convenors’ office hours for tailored advice.
Feedback release dates are now clearer and more consistent — so you know when and how to engage with your results.
Assessment deadlines are too close together
We’ve spread out deadlines to reduce pressure during teaching weeks.
We’re also now monitoring assessment patterns across modules to avoid future bottlenecks.
We want more modules on AI, tech, and what’s coming next.
Depending on your course, you now have access to exciting new Year 3 options:
- Digital Transformation and AI in Business
- Blockchain and Crypto
-
Social Media Analytics
-
Business Analytics for Decision Making
Make sustainability in management a part of our studies.
Sustainability is now built into Sustainable Business Management from Year 1, starting 2026/27.
Give us more marketing electives!
We’re expanding your elective options from 2026/27 to include:
- Consumer Behaviour
- Services Marketing
- E-Business and E-Commerce
- Social Media Analytics
We want more practical, real-world learning.
Across the curriculum, we are updating modules to include more case studies, real examples, and applied learning.
Placement prep came too late to help us apply.
We’ve moved placement preparation into Year 1, giving you the tools and insights before application season even begins.
We want better ways to be heard.
We’ve strengthened our staff–student liaison committee to make sure your feedback leads to visible action.
We’re working hard to improve communication, so you see what’s changing in departments — and why.
Why your voice matters
Survey responses and feedback together can create change. When you share your thoughts, you’re directly shaping the Business School’s direction and making it better for you and your peers. So do keep sharing your views. We're listening — and we're acting on your feedback.
