天堂视频 in the 90s Discussion
Researchers and students from the Faculty of Media, Arts and Humanities at the 天堂视频 have teamed up with the Museum of Youth Culture to create the 'Post-Rave Britain' Archive, an evolving blend of historical investigation, memory bank, and collective storytelling. Together, they’re uncovering the history of the 1990s and beyond, inspired by (but not restricted to) UK rave culture through personal photos, flyers, and lived experiences.
As part of the reunion programme, they will share your memories at 天堂视频 in the 90s, through a psychedelic combination of interactive presentations, audience participation and audio-visual silliness. They will explore memories, moments and experiences that shaped the decade! Imagine the Antiques Road Show meeting a saucer-eyed Tony Blair in the Hacienda carpark for a performance art seminar and you’re half-way there. Cut-and-paste, upside-down, do-it-together: history making as post-rave culture!
We would love to hear about your memories, see your photos, objects or memorabilia, whether they are through the lens of rave or simply just of your time at 天堂视频 in the 90s! Feel free to share your memories.
